HISTORY:

Late Educationalist Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray established the institution on 1st June 1945. He saw that the condition of the backward as well as the tribal people was same before and after the Independence. It inspired him to establish this institution for the betterment of such people. He started various schools in remote areas of Nasik district which didn’t have even the basic facilities. By sensing the economic inability of the tribal people, he started residential schools and hostels too. He has been an active politician in Maharashtra and has worked as the Revenue Minister of Maharashtra State. He is best known for the Kul Kayada (an Act related with farmers) during his tenure as a Revenue Minister. Unfortunately the institution suffered from a great loss after his sad demise on 6th June 1961. He started the following units during his tenure.

  • HOSTELS FOR BACKWARD STUDENTS - 24
  • PRIMARY RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS - 02
  • PRIMARY SCHOOL - 01
  • After the sad demise of Late Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray, his son Late Vyankatraoji Bhausaheb Hiray took over the responsibilities of the institution. He started many units along with the construction of various well equipped buildings within and outside Nasik district during the two decades of 1961 to 1980. He started the following units:

  • HOSTELS FOR BACKWARD STUDENTS - 05
  • PRIMARY RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS - 06
  • SECONDARY RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS - 05
  • PRIMARY SCHOOLS - 04
  • After the sad demise of Late Vyankatraoji Hiray in a fatal accident, his wife Smt. Pushpatai Hiray became the President of the Institution. During the tenure of Smt. Pushpatai Hiray and her son Dr. Prashant Hiray, the institution celebrated its Golden Jubilee year. Today the institution is one of the pioneering educational institutes for the economically backward and tribal people in Maharashtra and nearabout 85% units have their own well equipped buildings which provide the educational as well as the residential facility to the students.
